Designtech has
launched the
Additive Design Contest

In collaboration with Roboze, Designtech has launched the contest for the prototyping of artistic and design projects within CoFactory.

Designers and artists had the opportunity to approach the world of additive manufacturing by applying with their own project (in the areas of lighting, product customization, modular design or artistic creation) that will be exhibited during Milan Design Week 2024.

Criteria evaluated

Criteria evaluated

A jury of experts awarded the projects that best exploited the potential of 3D printing.

A jury of experts examined all the proposals received starting from the concept behind each project, rewarding the attention given to innovative shapes, functionality, sustainability, as well as the feasibility of the project, in addition to its presentation.

Innovation in shapes

Artistic and design projects that stand out for their innovative forms, enhancing the concept of creativity and originality.

Functionality

Projects that prioritize functionality, using
high-quality materials that lighten the component and improve its technical properties.

Sustainability

Projects that adopt a sustainable economic and environmental sustainable approach, through the use of a smaller quantity of material and promoting the product’s longevity.

Technical feasibility

Projects that can be easily produced with the available technologies, which take into consideration at least one of the presented areas.

Presentation

Clarity and completeness in the presentation of the concept and project’s features compared to the submitted brief.
